New Black Nickel Finish Available for Brass Musical Instruments
Have your Brass Musical Instrument Black Nickel Plated
Recently FHLambert has installed a new solution that deposits a Black Nickel finish onto brass musical instruments.
The Black Nickel finish produces a bluish-black colour, different to that of a black paint or lacquer. A finish that is not comparable.
The Black Nickel is an electrolytic coloring process which produces a black deposit upon the surface, this finish is generally applied over a layer of bright nickel plating to achieve a mirror finish.
Once the instrument is plated it is then protected with a lacquer coating to ensure it's performance in service, and to exhibit excellent wear characteristics.
A Trumpet has been completed by FHLambert with a Black Nickel finish, and using Gold plated slides, top/bottom caps, keys, and buttons to demonstrate the contrast between Black Nickel and Gold.
